What did you read over the summer?

One of the books I read over the summer was I am Number 4 by Pittacus Lore.  I know it has been out a while but it was very popular in my libary and my only chance to read it was this past summer.  I really enjoyed the this book.  I really liked the characters and the action packed ending.  Throughout the book there was always something that held my attention from begining to end.  If you like science fiction, action-adventure, and even romance, this is a book to check out.

What did you think of the book?  PS - I was not crazy about the movie

What good books did you read over the summer? We really want to know!

  1. I have not read this book, but you make it sound like I may want to. We thought about renting the movie a couple of times, but haven't done so yet. BTW, thanks for setting up this blog!

  2. Also, this summer I read one of my new books called Okay for Now by G. Schmidt. I didn't think I would like it much, but I was surprised. The main character is kind of quirky and loves drawing. When his family moves to a new town, he makes friends with the town librarian, who gets him interested in drawing birds from Audubon's book, Birds of North America. This helps him to cope with his less than happy family, and his growing feelings for his new girl friend. When he is forced to choose between doing what is "easy" and doing what is "right", he begins to understand his life much better. I highly recommend this story and would be interested to see what others think of it.

  3. One of my favorite summer reads was A Kiss In Time by Alex Flinn, who also wrote Beastly. I have always been a fan of fairy tales and A Kiss In Time is the modern day version of Sleeping Beauty, so of course it is a love story but it's a fun spin on an old tale!!
